Biography Raul Jungmann
Trustee at CEBRI. CEO of the Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM) since March 2022. He brings all his experience to lead the Institute and its member mining companies in structuring an audacious process to transform the Brazilian mining sector, in order to make it even safer, more sustainable and more responsible.Raul Jungmann's professional and political careers have been intertwined over the years. Among the most remarkable passages in his history are the periods in which he was Minister of State for four administrations, in the portfolios of Land Policy (1996-1999), Agrarian Development (1999-2002), Defense (2016-2018) and Public Security (2018-2019). He was a federal deputy for three terms: 2003-2006; 2007-2010; 2015-2018. He has also held high-profile positions in other ministries, as well as in important bodies, when, for example, he chaired the Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA); he founded and chaired NGOs; he is a member of several boards of directors of relevant organizations. He was decorated on three occasions by the Brazilian government for his important services to the country.
