Summary Report #2: Climate Emergency and Environmental Justice

This report brings together the discussions held within the thematic axis of Climate Emergency and Environmental Justice of the project "America in the World: the US foreign policy and the Brazilian view on the bilateral agenda," a partnership between CEBRI and the United States Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro. Two webinars were conducted within this axis: "Brazil, United States, and Cooperation to address the global climate emergency" on August 15, 2022, and "Climate Emergency and Environmental Justice: Brazil-United States cooperation in dialogue" on October 24, 2022. These webinars fostered reflections on how Brazil and the United States have been addressing the global climate crisis and the potential of bilateral cooperation, within a multilateral context, to enable solutions to this issue.
