Organized on May 29th, jointly by ApexBrasil and the European Union, in collaboration with CEBRI, this first edition of the high-level Forum will bring together some 200 selected political and business leaders from Brazil and the European Union, including leading finance representatives, as well as federal and sub-national authorities.
The Forum takes place in a rapidly changing geopolitical environment, where reliable, predictable and rules-based partnerships are of increasing importance. With the EU as Brazil’s second-largest trading partner and top source of foreign direct investment, the EU-Mercosur Agreement is poised to boost trade and investment. Brazil and the EU with their complementary economies want to build on that opportunity to decisively strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations.
The Forum will be the starting point of a structured ‘Investment Dialogue between Brazil and the EU’. ApexBrasil and the European Union will celebrate this partnership with the public signature of a Letter of Intent.
The Forum frames the engagement between stakeholders around political priorities. These include fostering sustainable and inclusive investments and opportunities in fields of mutual interest, such as industry decarbonisation, green hydrogen/fuels, strategic or critical raw material value chains, transport connectivity or digital economy and transformation. These priorities align with Brazil’s Ecological Transformation Plan, the Growth Acceleration Plan and the EU’s Global Gateway Strategy.
Connecting selected leaders and partners, the Forum will provide for unique networking opportunities to foster concrete investment agreements in Brazil.
