On June 18, at 10 am (BRT), the Africa Thematic Program held a discussion on “The Elections in South Africa: future prospects in a new parliamentary configuration”. Antonio Augusto Martins Cesar, Senior Fellow at CEBRI, introduced the participants in the discussion, which was mediated by Natalia Dias, Senior Researcher, and brought together experts in South African culture and politics. The event's purpose was to discuss future scenarios in view of the change in the composition of the South African government in the face of major international issues.

Anthropology Department at University of São Paulo (USP), and Emile Myburgh, Founder of the law firm Emile Myburgh Attorneys/ Advocates. They addressed the main challenges for bilateral relations and discussed mutual learning when it comes to combating inequalities in order to move forward on this and other national agendas.

The experts discussed their interpretations of the African Trade Agreement and its impact on the country's new businesses, as well as the position of Cyril Ramaphosa's current government in light of the BRICS and the ongoing global geopolitical tensions.
