Brazil-China Dialogue on Sustainable Mining and Steel

The Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI), in partnership with the AIIB (Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank), ICS (Institute of Finance and Sustainability), and WRI (World Resources Institute), organized an exclusive event focused on sustainable mining and steel. The "Brazil-China Dialogue on Sustainable Mining and Steel" took place at the AIIB headquarters in Beijing, on June 6th, from 9 AM to 11 AM. The roundtable is a valuable opportunity for information and experience exchange between the mining and steel sectors, which are crucial for bilateral relations. Representatives from CEBRI, AIIB, WRI, BRIGC, ICS, as well as professionals from Vale and Sigma Lithium, and leading Chinese steel and mining companies such as CMOC, Minmetals, and China Gold, gathered to present their initiatives on the sustainability agenda, discuss trends, and explore the challenges and opportunities for sustainable development in these industries within the Brazil-China context. The discussion also seeks to foster a deeper and more constructive discussion on how to advance in these critical areas.
