Mesa-redonda “AIIB as an Innovative new Instrument for Infrastructure Integration and Development in Asia and the World: Relevance for Brazil”

The role and performance of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the new international financing and credit scenario were the topics addressed in the roundtable “AIIB as an Innovative New Instrument for Infrastructure Integration and Development in Asia and the World: Its Relevance for Brazil” organized by CEBRI on November 8th. The event was attended by AIIB vice president, Dr. Joachim von Amsberg, and CEBRI Trustee, Cláudio Frischtak.

The debate addressed the emergence of new development banks that redraw the model of multilateralism prevalent since the second half of the twentieth century and the prospects for financing infrastructure projects in Asia, which increase global connectivity and create possibilities for Brazil to have greater participation in innovative mechanisms for development.
