Just over two weeks after the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China was concluded, CEBRI held a meeting with Lan Yan and Hong Qiu of Lazard China to analyze the Congress' results and discuss recent trends in China's politics and economy. CEBRI Breaking News #15 is an account of the event that took place on November 10th at CEBRI's headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.

Speakers highlighted the strengthening of Xi Jinping's leadership and the ambitious goals the Chinese leader set for the future of "socialism with Chinese characteristics in a new era". The presentations were followed by a debate, in which the participants highlighted the evolution of China's international insertion strategy.
