130 Years of Brazil–Japan Diplomatic Relations: Tradition and New Horizons

In the context of the anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brazil and Japan, this document aims to highlight relevant themes for the bilateral agenda and for the international order, particularly the economic relations between the two countries and the prospects for environmental cooperation.
This initiative stems from reflections by Brazilian and Japanese experts within the framework of the project “Celebrating 130 Years of Diplomatic Relations and the Year of Friendship Exchange between Brazil and Japan.” Based on the inputs collected, opportunities for cooperation were mapped in the environmental, commercial, and international cooperation sectors.
