CEBRI Breaking News #12 reports on the lecture "The End of the Global Rule of Law?", delivered by Andrew Hurrell, Montague Burton Professor of International Relations at Oxford University and Member of the CEBRI's International Advisory Board.

At the event, held in Rio de Janeiro on September 15th, 2017, Prof. Hurrell addressed the challenges facing contemporary global governance, highlighting the fragility of institutions and norms that claim to be global and the tumultuous power relations between states on the international stage. Hurrell's lecutre was complemented by remarks made by Leslie Bethell, another Member of CEBRI's International Advisory Board, who acted as mediator of the debate.
