  • 20 august 2026

The first edition of Paraty Dialogues, held by CEBRI from August 16 to 18 in Paraty, brought together 32 experts and leaders from 14 countries for three days of dialogue on the transformations shaping the international system and the challenges facing global cooperation.

Diplomats, former ministers, academics, representatives of international organizations, civil society, and the private sector took part in discussions organized around three main themes: geopolitical transition and international cooperation; climate action and sustainable development; and global governance and institutional renewal.

Conceived by Julia Dias Leite, CEO of CEBRI, and Antonio Patriota, Brazil’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom and a member of CEBRI’s International Advisory Council, Paraty Dialogues was established as a permanent forum for global dialogue, bringing together diverse perspectives and regions of the world to reflect on major international challenges.

The event received media coverage, with reports and analyses examining the main topics discussed and Paraty Dialogues’ ambition to help consolidate Brazil’s position as a hub for debate on geopolitics, climate, and global governance.
