The Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) expresses its full solidarity with Ambassador Maria Luiza Viotti, Brazil’s Ambassador to the United States and a member of CEBRI’s Board of Trustees, following the unjustified decision announced by the U.S. government to revoke her diplomatic visa.
Ambassador Maria Luiza Viotti is the first woman to hold the highest-ranking position in Brazilian diplomacy. For more than four years, she has consistently demonstrated outstanding professional competence and admirable personal integrity in navigating one of Brazil’s most delicate diplomatic relationships.
CEBRI hopes that the spirit of calm and balance that characterizes Brazilian-U.S. relations will once again prevail through respectful dialogue, leading to a dignified and mutually satisfactory resolution for both governments.
