November 3, 2025 The Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is the main international forum focused on addressing the climate crisis.
Since 1995, the event has brought together annually 198 countries that are signatories to the treaty, which was one of the significant legacies of ECO-92, to discuss commitments, goals, and joint solutions in response to global environmental challenges. In 2025, COP30 will be held for the first time in the Amazon, marking a historic milestone for both Brazil and the global climate agenda. In this context, CEBRI is promoting a series of initiatives aimed at reflecting on the milestones that have shaped this universal agenda and on the country's role in building sustainable and transformative solutions.
From November 10 to 21, CEBRI will be present in Belém, organizing and participating in debates and events alongside key actors in the climate agenda.
The discussions will focus on global governance and financing the climate and energy transition.
Acting as a bridge between different sectors, CEBRI promotes qualified analyses and connects national and international actors in favor of just, efficient, and sustainable transitions. Through strategic debates and qualified action in public policy formulation, we aim to strengthen Brazilian climate action and position the country as a leader in international governance.
The activities will take place in two complementary spaces: and the values for using the space.
Located near the Blue Zone, Casa Diálogo is a space dedicated to the articulation between the public, private, academic sectors, and civil society. It will be a convergence point for ideas, solutions, and cooperation, bringing together key players in the climate agenda to discuss concrete paths toward a fair, inclusive, and sustainable transition.
The space will host strategic events and initiatives focused on the formulation of public policies, the strengthening of Brazilian climate action, and the promotion of connections between global and local voices. Its mission is to drive impactful debates that contribute to a more just and sustainable future.
Casa Diálogo is an initiative of CEBRI and The Dialogue, with support from the Climate and Society Institute (iCS) and sponsorship from Itaú, Vale, TIM, KAS, and Syngenta.
For the first time, CEBRI will also promote and integrate events in the Blue Zone, an area managed by the UNFCCC where official negotiations, the Leaders' Summit, and national pavilions take place.
The topics addressed include energy transition and low-carbon markets, sustainable land use, strategic minerals and sustainable development, air quality and super pollutants, as well as the collaboration between political leaders, the private sector, civil society, and financiers to accelerate transformative actions.
