From September 8 to 12, the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI), the Brazil-China Studies Institute (IBRACH), and the Institute of Science and Technology Policy of Tsinghua University held, in Beijing, the 11th edition of the China Today – Anna Jaguaribe Executive Seminar.
The event brought together leaders from the public and private sectors, including representatives from BNDES, the Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI), the Lemann Foundation, Banco BOCOM BBM, as well as CEBRI Senior Fellows Ana Célia Castro and José Mário Antunes.
The program included visits to leading companies, research institutes, and government agencies, in addition to debates with professors and government advisors on topics such as industrial policy, innovation, artificial intelligence, and geopolitics. In 2025, the Seminar highlighted China’s role in contemporary geopolitics, its macroeconomy, energy and climate transition, digital transformation, and state capacity-building.
The Seminar honors Anna Jaguaribe, one of Brazil’s foremost experts on China. A sociologist by training, Anna served as a CEBRI Board Member and Director of IBRACH, leaving a legacy of excellence in fostering dialogue between Brazil and China.
