On August 11, during the 24th Brazilian Agribusiness Congress, organized by the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (ABAG) in São Paulo, leading figures in the sector were honored for their contributions.
Izabella Teixeira, former Minister of the Environment and International and Member of the International Advisory Board at CEBRI, was awarded the Norman Borlaug Award – Sustainability 2025. This international distinction recognizes leaders who excel in defending the environment and promoting sustainable practices, reaffirming her more than 40-year trajectory dedicated to environmental and climate issues.
It is the first time that a former Minister of the Environment has received this recognition, underscoring the significance of her leadership and commitment to building a more balanced and responsible future for the planet.
The event featured the participation of Larissa Wachholz, CEBRI Senior Fellow and Partner at Vallya Participações, in “Panel 1 – Food, Energy, and Innovation.” The initiative brought together government officials, business leaders, and experts to discuss strategic issues for sustainable economic development. The program included lectures and panels on agro-alliances, innovation, sustainability, and capital markets.
