The Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) is pleased to announce that the Government of the State of Goiás has joined our associate network as a new institutional member. With this strategic partnership, Goiás becomes the first Brazilian state to join our network of partners, consolidating its place in the international debate and expanding its economic and social development opportunities.
Goiás' primary economic activities include agriculture, manufacturing and trade. The deputy governor of Goiás, Daniel Vilela, points out that the association reinforces the state's leading role in Brazil and on the global stage and emphasizes that "being connected to such an influential network allows us to broaden horizons, attract strategic investments and foster innovations that will directly benefit our population."
According to José Frederico Lyra Netto, the Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation for Goiás, joining CEBRI is a crucial step in the state's internationalization strategy. He states, "CEBRI brings together embassies and consulates from various countries, including Switzerland, Mexico, Norway, the United Kingdom, and China. This partnership provides Goiás with privileged access to these key players, paving the way for strategic collaborations on topics such as artificial intelligence and sustainable development."
With 26 years of experience, CEBRI is recognized as one of the most influential think tanks in Latin America. It brings together experts, leaders, and decision-makers to foster debate and promote international cooperation.
CEBRI's CEO, Julia Dias Leite, expressed her satisfaction with the Government of Goiás joining their membership, stating, “This is a source of great satisfaction and signifies promising projects ahead.” She emphasized that the participation of states and municipalities is crucial in formulating solutions to contemporary global challenges.
