On February 12, the President of the Central Bank, Gabriel Galípolo, participated in an event convened by the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) in partnership with the Institute for Economic Policy Studies/Casa das Garças (IEPE/CdG) and the Center for Public Policy Debates (CDPP) to discuss Brazil’s macroeconomic outlook.

In his first public statement since assuming the presidency of the Central Bank earlier this year, Galípolo addressed the country's economic challenges and prospects, offering insights into the current scenario and the direction of Brazil's monetary policy.

The event featured an institutional opening by Julia Dias Leite, CEO at CEBRI, and gathered prominent figures in the field of economics, including Edmar Bacha, Trustee at CEBRI and Founding Partner of IEPE/CdG; Pedro Malan, Trustee Emeritus at CEBRI and former Minister of Finance; and Arminio Fraga, Trustee at CEBRI and former President of the Central Bank, alongside economists and representatives from financial institutions.
