At the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29), held in Baku, CEBRI participated in strategic discussions addressing crucial topics such as critical minerals, just energy transition, climate financing mechanisms, and sustainable practices.
On November 16, Rafaela Guedes, Senior Fellow at CEBRI, joined the panel "Challenges of New Industrialization," which discussed new industrialization guided by the New Industry Brazil Plan. She presented concrete examples of innovative companies that have invested in the country to provide green and innovative solutions. The panel addressed challenges to stimulating neo-industrialization, including modernizing infrastructure, promoting technological innovation, workforce qualification, reducing the tax burden, and overcoming bureaucratic and logistical hurdles.
Among the participants were Jorge Viana, President of ApexBrasil, Rafael Tello, Director of Ambipar, Ligia Pinto, Vice President of Institutional Relations at Sigma Lithium, and Priscila Rocha, Head of Sustainability at Volkswagen Trucks and Buses.
