During the event, the experts discussed the outcomes of Brazil's leadership at the G20 and its potential impact in 2025, when Brazil will host COP30 and the BRICS summit, in a scenario marked by uncertainty regarding the rise of the elected U.S. President, Donald Trump. Ambassador Caramuru addressed the potential effects of Trump's second term on international politics and the global economy. José Pio Borges, in turn, observed that, although Trump was not present at the summit, his influence was evident, and highlighted Brazil's growing role in international negotiations, especially with its presidency of BRICS starting January 1.
