CEBRI at COP29

This year, CEBRI will participate in the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), taking place from November 11 to 22 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The organization will host a series of events aimed at deepening discussions on climate change, the environment, and the energy transition—topics of strategic importance to Brazil. The debates will cover critical issues, including Brazil’s G20 agenda for COP30, promoting climate finance, and the challenges of phasing out fossil fuels.

COP29 is an annual event where UNFCCC signatory countries meet to discuss and negotiate climate-related measures. During the event, countries review the implementation of commitments, set new targets, and revise policies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

The Brazilian agenda will feature the Brazil Pavilion, a dedicated space organized by the Ministries of Environment and Climate Change (MMA) and Foreign Affairs (MRE), along with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). This setting will serve as a hub for discussions on the country’s priority issues, including sustainable finance, bioeconomy, a just energy transition, climate adaptation, and innovative solutions.
