In partnership with Casa Zalszupin, CEBRI São Paulo's meeting on 14th December was chaired by Julia Dias Leite, CEO at CEBRI, Izabella Teixeira, Emeritus Trustee at CEBRI, and Renata Piazzon, General Director at Instituto Arapyaú, and moderated by Mônica Sodré, Senior Fellow at CEBRI and CEO at the Political Action Network for Sustainability (RAPS), on the commitments established during the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP28), held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Part of a series of debates planned by CEBRI São Paulo for the coming year, the initiative provided a constructive exchange between leaders from the public and private sectors and experts who closely followed COP28. The discussions covered the central role that Brazil can play in the climate transition agenda, the cross-cutting nature of the climate agenda and the Final Outcome of the 28th Conference of the Parties, which addresses, for the first time, the global transition from the use of fossil fuels to clean energy sources, representing a significant moment in the global climate change scenario.
About Casa Zalszupin: An emblem of modern Brazilian architecture, nestled in São Paulo's Jardim América neighbourhood, Casa Zalszupin was designed in 1960 by Jorge Zalszupin, a Polish architect living in Brazil. In 2020, ETEL, responsible for reissuing Zalszupin's furniture, transformed the residence into a cultural space. The venue, which combines local modernist influences with Scandinavian architecture, aims to preserve the collection and enrich the designer's legacy through exhibitions, lectures, classes and research.
