Ambassador Marcos Caramuru, member of CEBRI's International Advisory Board, shared his views on the participation in India's T20 and his expectations for the event to be held in Brazil in 2024, during the breakfast organized by CEBRI this Friday (26).

This year, CEBRI was invited to join Think 20, a group that brings together think tanks, specialists and institutions to debate public policies and produce supporting documents for decision-making among states at the G20 forum. Represented by Ambassador Caramuru, who acted as Co-Chair, we integrated the discussions of the working group "Macroeconomics, Trade and Livelihoods: Policy Conference and International Coordination".

From May 10th to 12th, he was in Mumbai to participate in the "Think 20 Mid-Year Conference", where working groups have the opportunity to exchange relevant ideas and contributions on topics such as health, green growth, technology, multilateralism reform, gender, green transition, and other issues.

According to Caramuru, one challenge of the T20 is that the proposed policies effectively contribute to pointing out new paths, alternatives, and political-economic solutions to deal with global problems, and not just to paint a picture of the current situation.

Present at the breakfast were representatives from IPEA, the Rio de Janeiro City Hall, Microsoft, the Consulates of Mexico, the Netherlands, and the UK, BP, BOCOM BBM Bank, Instituto Igarapé, Dynamo, Veirano Advogados, Eletrobras, Catavento, Origem, Lorinvest and Mello Torres, and Lide.
