CEBRI's Senior Fellow, General Paulo Sergio Melo de Carvalho, co-authored with Hugo Bras Martins da Costa, researcher and holder of a PhD in Political Science from IESP-UERJ and Sciences Po Paris, the Policy Brief "Enhancing International Cooperation, Data Governance and Public-Private Partnership to Protect Critical Infrastructures against Cyber Threats". The paper analyzes the issue of cyber attacks against critical infrastructure and proposes solutions for G20 leaders to address this challenge. Among the recommendations are a partnership between the public and private sectors to protect these infrastructures, as well as the encouragement of international cooperation on this issue.
The Policy Brief is the result of work developed under the "Meaningful Digital Connectivity, Cyber Security and Empowerment" Task Force of the T20, the G20 Think Tanks forum. The document was launched during the T20 Summit, held on September 5th and 6th of 2022, in Indonesia. The event brought together experts to discuss and propose policy recommendations to G20 leaders. The Group's summit will take place on November 15th and 16th.
