Today, CEBRI welcomed the new US Consul General in Rio, Jacqueline Ward, who arrived in Brazil in August. Ward and other diplomats from the US Consulate were invited for a lunch at CEBRI's headquarters in Gávea, Rio de Janeiro. Also present were CEBRI's Director of Projects, Luciana Gama Muniz; the Vice-Presidents of the Board of Trustees of CEBRI, José Alfredo Graça Lima and Jorge Camargo, CEBRI CEO, Julia Dias Leite, and the Director of Institutional Relations and Communications, Carla Duarte.
The think tank was chosen in a public tender from the American Consulate in Rio de Janeiro to launch the America in the World project, which includes the realization of webinars, closed-door meetings, and publications.
Focused on topics such as trade, multilateralism, environmental issues, and relations with Brazil, the project aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Brazil and the United States, bringing together stakeholders from both countries, and will last for one year.
