Brazil has a unique potential to lead the global energy transition, and it has set the ambitious target of achieving emissions neutrality by 2050. Turning this potential into tangible opportunities will require active participation from key economic sectors and the implementation of effective public policies.
In this context, CEBRI is hosting a strategic meeting focused on the Industry and AFOLU sectors (Agriculture, Forests, and Land Use) during São Paulo Climate Week.
This roundtable is part of the second phase of the Energy Transition Program (PTE), carried out in partnership with IDB, EPE, and BNDES. It will take place in a hybrid format.
The goal is to share and discuss sectoral decarbonization roadmaps and collaboratively develop policy recommendations that are robust, realistic, and responsive to the specific issues and challenges facing each sector. The discussion inputs will be consolidated into the project’s final report, which will be launched in October and delivered to decision-makers ahead of COP30.
