Sustainable Biofuels for International Transport – Aligning International Forums and Global Policies

The event will seek to connect the links of the production chain – from technology developers and raw material producers to end-users, such as shipping and aviation companies. The focus will be on advancing domestic regulation and the practical implementation of innovative mechanisms, including Book and Claim, which can enable long-term contracts, reduce investment risks, and support project financing instruments. Additionally, the event aims to build alliances and frameworks that support the agenda in key international forums.

Another objective is to promote the technological leap needed to turn comparative advantages into global competitiveness, with special attention to value addition, including through biorefineries and the development of advanced biofuels such as SAF and biomethanol.

The seminar seeks to consolidate Brazil’s role as a global leader and coordinator in the energy transition, and will focus on the following themes:

  • Enhancing the Debate
    • Public Policies
    • Governance
    • Standards Discussion
    • Market Coordination
    • Global Strategic Positioning
    • Integration of Production Chains
    • Technologies
    • Financing
