Hybrid Event

Balancing Climate Action Between Carbon Markets and Environment Protection

The event aims to bring together two experts engaged in climate action in Brazil and Ireland to understand the scenarios of environmental protection in both countries. Departing from the main debates on climate change currently taking place, the speakers are invited to address the desire to restore the conversation around nature conservation. The discussion aims to explore the myths and misconceptions that tend to reinforce the idea that instead of seeking real emission reductions, we should be content with CO2 compensation, which can create a misleading notion of carbon neutrality, while emissions continue to rise.
