The Side Event "Financing Change: The Norwegian Experience of Sharing Wealth" was held with the aim of discussing the tax policy of redistributing the value generated by the use of natural resources in Norway and the ways this wealth can be utilized for environmental protection and the promotion of an equal society. The initiative, organized by CEBRI and the Norwegian diplomatic network in Brazil, brought together figures such as the Member of the International Advisory Board at CEBRI, Marcos Caramuru, the Norwegian Minister of Finance, Trygve Slagsvold Vedum, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Norway, Ida Wolden Bache, and facilitated a discussion on the Norwegian model, the sectors in which it can be applied, and the methods of its use.
