"The Challenges of Public Governance in Brazil: The Case of the Climate" was the topic of the Fourth CEBRI-KAS Project 2019 - Climate Change: New Discussions in Brazil and in the World. The event was held by CEBRI in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Brazil on November 22nd at the CEBRI headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro.
The objective was to debate the obstacles to the implementation of the Paris Agreement associated with models of public and institutional governance and the current Brazilian system, pointing out the challenges facing the interests of society. The event was the last of the CEBRI-KAS 2019 Project and had the participation of the Director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Brazil, Anja Czymmeck; Senior Fellow of CEBRI and former Minister of the Environment, Izabella Teixeira; the Director of the Republic Institute and Professor at IBAPE / FGV, Francisco Gaetani; the Coordinator of the Institute for Advanced Studies at USP and President of Earth 3000, Maritta Koch-Weser; the former Minister of the Environment, José Carlos Carvalho; and the Executive Director of the Escolhas Institute, Sérgio Leitão.
