Biography André Corrêa do Lago

Trustee at the Brazilian Center for International Relations. Diplomat since 1983. Is Secretary for Climate and Environment of the Ministry of External Affairs. Was Ambassador to India (2019-2023) and to Japan (2013-2018). In the field of architecture, he is an author, curator, and jury member.

He has been a member of the Pritzker Award jury for three years. He is also a member of the jury for the Instituto Moreira Salles (IMS) competition in São Paulo and the jury for the new headquarters of the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA)  in Rio de Janeiro. He has worked in several areas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, mainly in the environmental area.

He was Brazil's chief negotiator for Climate Change and Sustainable Development, including at Rio+20. He worked in Madrid, Prague, Washington, Buenos Aires, Brussels. He was Ambassador to Japan for five years.

He is co-curator and co-author of Still Modern?, together with Lauro Cavalcanti.
