Biography Ivan Sandrea

Sandrea is a Member of the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI)'s International Advisory Board. He has been the CEO of Alize Energy since January 2021 and is an expert in the field of energy transition with experience developing business and technology.

Sandrea has broad experience in the industry. He is board member at Havfram, a Norwegian company that offers solutions to Oil & Gas companies transitioning to wind power. He also founded and presided over the Mexican Sierra Oil & Gas from 2014 to 2019.

He acted as International Advisor at JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration (2015-2018) and was Co-head, Global Oil & Gas Emerging Markets at Ernst & Young (2013-2014). He was the CEO of Energy Intelligence (2011-2012). Previously, Mr. Sandrea occupied the position of VP of Strategy, Business Development and Mergers & Acquisitions at Equinor (2007-2011).

Ivan Sandrea is an active contributor to research institutions such as the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies and the Energy Policy Research Foundation. He is a regular guest at the Kearney Global Business Policy Council. He is also the co-founder of Mexico Actua, a think tank focused on circular economy studying the connection among water, energy and food.

Sandrea holds a M.S. in Geological and Earth Sciences and an MBA from The University of Edinburgh. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Baylor University.
