Biography André Soares
Senior Fellow at the Brazilian Center of International Relations (CEBRI). André Soares is a Counselor in the Board of Directors of the Inter-American Development Bank. He assists the offices of Brazil and Suriname on matters concerning the Bank’s private sector (BID Invest) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF).
Before joining the Board, Mr. Soares was an economist for the Bank’s Integration and Trade Sector on projects related to trade and economic relations between China and Latin America. He was also Research Coordinator for the Brazil-China Business Council (abbreviated in Portuguese as CEBC), where he defended the interests of Brazil’s largest companies engaging in business with China.
Mr. Soares holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, specializing in economics and innovation, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
