Ambassador of Brazil to Germany

Biography Roberto Jaguaribe

Trustee at the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI). He is currently Ambassador of Brazil to Germany. Since 1983, he has been working in missions to the UN, embassies of Brazil, and in other areas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Federal Government.

He has worked in New York, Montevideo, Geneva and Washington, DC. In Brazil, he worked as head of the Intellectual Property and Sensitive Technologies Division (1992); Director General of the Trade Promotion Department (1998-2000); and Undersecretary General for Policy, responsible for managing foreign policy issues for Africa, Middle East, Asia and the Pacific (2007-10). He was Brazil's Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland between 2010 and 2015 and to the People’s Republic of China and to Mongolia between 2015 and 2016. He was Chair to the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency - Apex-Brasil from 2016 to 2019.
