Trustee at the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI). Demetrio Magnoli is a sociologist, holds a PhD in Human Geography from the Department of Geography of the FFLCH-USP and is a member of the International Conjuncture Analysis Group (Gacint) of USP.

He was a columnist for the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo. Currently, he is a columnist for Folha de S. Paulo and O Globo. Dr. Magnoli is an international commentator at Jornal das Dez and Em Pauta, at GloboNews network.

Author of the book Uma Gota de Sangue (“A Drop of Blood”) and co-author of História das Guerras (“The History of Wars”), História da Paz (“The History of Peace”), and O Brasil no Contexto 1987-2007 (“Brazil in the 1987-2007 Context”), all published by Editora Contexto.
