Biography Dora Kaufman

Dora Kaufman is a professor in the Intelligence Technologies and Digital Design Program at PUC's School of Exact Sciences and Technology at São Paulo, who researches the ethical and social impacts of artificial intelligence.

She holds a PhD in digital media from ECA-USP, with a sandwich internship at Université Paris Sorbonne IV, and has completed two postdoctoral fellowships: one at COPPE-UFRJ and another at TIDD-PUC SP. With a multidisciplinary vision, she is dedicated to exploring the effects of AI on the economy, business models, communication, sociability, work, and regulatory challenges.

These topics are covered in her articles, publications, consultancies, courses and lectures. She is the author of several books and book chapters, including "Will artificial intelligence supplant human intelligence?" and "Demystifying Artificial Intelligence." She is a columnist for Época Negócios magazine and a contributor to the newspapers O Globo and Valor Econômico.
