CEBRI Breaking News #18 brings an overview of the launch event of the book "Honeymoon in Kobane" by the reporter and columnist of the Folha de S. Paulo, journalist Patrícia Campos Mello. The launch took place on January 22nd at the headquarters of the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) and was moderated by the President of CEBRI's Board of Trustees, José Pio Borges.

At the event, the author gave a presentation on the Syrian conflict and its implications, both for local populations as well as for regional and international political dynamics. The work provides an overview of the conflict from the perspective of Barzan and Raushan, a young Syrian newly-wed couple, who experienced their honeymoon under the Islamic State siege of the city of Kobane.
