COP30 in focus: Strategies for participation in Conferences of the Parties (COP)

In November 2025, Brazil will host the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) on Climate Change. In addition to States, the private sector and subnational entities play a strategic role in building solutions and implementing concrete actions to address climate change.

To support companies and local governments in building effective participation, CEBRI is launching the course COP in Focus: Strategies for Corporate Participation in Conferences of the Parties (COP30), coordinated by Izabella Teixeira, former Minister of the Environment and Member of the International Advisory Board at CEBRI.

Held between September and October 2025, the course will feature live online classes taught by academics, policymakers, and representatives from the public and private sectors. The sessions will cover key topics for the climate agenda, including:

  • The current stage of global climate action and the financial architecture supporting it.
  • Priorities of the Brazilian agenda and the strategic role of COP30 in advancing the global climate agenda;
  • Experiences of the private sector and subnational entities in Conferences of the Parties;
  • Global climate governance and the participation of States and non-State actors;
  • Brazil’s role in multilateral forums and its proposals for global solutions.

In addition to knowledge building, the course will provide opportunities for participants and experts to exchange experiences and network.
