Masterclass with journalists Ariel Palácios and Janaína Figueiredo|Latin America in focus

25 september 2025

While Brazil welcomes heads of state for the G20, BRICS Summit, and COP30, Latin America is experiencing an intense political context with the potential to impact the region's future. In this scenario, CEBRI invites journalists Ariel Palácios, correspondent for Globo News, and Janaína Figueiredo, reporter and columnist for O Globo, to analyze the current situation of Brazil's main Latin American neighbors: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Venezuela.

More than just reporting the news, the aim is to provide exclusive analysis that goes beyond the headlines, revealing behind-the-scenes details and nuances that shape the region's political and economic future.

Throughout the Masterclass, regional politics and Brazilian foreign policy are intertwined. Understanding Latin America also means understanding Brazil's limits and possibilities in relation to its neighbors and the advance of extra-continental actors such as the United States, China, Russia, and Iran.

The meeting, therefore, provides a comprehensive, critical, and necessary examination of the present and future of the region. Ultimately, participants will have the opportunity to purchase books from the speakers and attend an autograph session.
