The formation of groups and blocs is a way for countries to join forces and participate in changes in the global order. This is the case with the BRICS. The original Group comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, representing more than 42% of the world's population, 23% of global GDP and 18% of international trade. The accession of new member countries and supporters increases the Group's significance in international geopolitics.
Considering that Brazil holds the rotating presidency of the Group until 2025, CEBRI brings together experts in its new course to analyze the history and expansion of BRICS, points of consensus and internal dissent, as well as what the Brazilian presidency generates in terms of opportunities and challenges for the country's foreign policy in an international political conjuncture that is undergoing rapid changes. The course includes six unprecedented live classes that will take place on July 27, 2, 9, 16, 23 and June 30, 2025, at 6:30 pm, and offers support material, chat for interaction, access to the recorded content for six months, as well as a set of references to follow and stay up to date on the subject.
