CEBRI will participate in the Multilateralism Task Force of the Think20 (T20), the G20 think tank forum. The forum meets annually before G20 summit events to collect policy suggestions and proposals to take to world leaders. This month, CEBRI contributed to the T20 with the policy paper "Strengthening Multilateralism and Multi-Stakeholder Partnership in International Development Cooperation" by Senior Fellow Carlos Milani.
The paper analyzes the importance of states establishing frameworks for international cooperation that aim to develop and integrate different actors and sectors of government and society. For Milani, this would be the best way to implement the Sustainable Development Objective #17, which deals with the issue of cooperation. The author analyzed the cooperation data of the G20 members and noticed variations in the availability of information and ranking criteria. Milani's proposal is to create a Working Group on International Cooperation for Development and External Aid within the G20.
