With a robust and expanded agenda in 2024, we reaffirm our commitment as a think tank dedicated to promoting dialogue and reflection on relevant issues in the global landscape. Among the major milestones of the year was the announcement of the new Jequitibá Headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, in partnership with PUC-Rio. Located in Gávea, the headquarters is designed to be a space for reflection and knowledge dissemination.
In the context of the G20, we established ourselves as a strategic partner of the Rio de Janeiro City Hall in an emblematic year for Brazil in the presidency of the group. We also played a central role in T20 Brasil, integrating the Organizing Committee alongside FUNAG and Ipea, with an emphasis on contributing to constructive dialogue and the formulation of public policy recommendations.
In the climate agenda, we took a prominent role at COP29, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, with thematic panels and participation in roundtables focused on a fair energy transition and climate financing. For the first time, we were present at New York Climate Week, engaging in discussions about financing strategies for climate adaptation and the sustainable extraction of critical minerals.
In the field of international relations, we hosted a conference to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Brazil-China diplomatic relations, in partnership with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In the second half of the year, we organized, in partnership with KAS Brazil and the European Union Delegation in Brazil, the 21st edition of the Forte International Security Conference. Additionally, we expanded our activities in São Paulo, creating a space for the debate of international issues among experts and guests.
In the energy sector, we continued the Energy Transition Program, with initiatives and research focused on critical minerals and biofuels. Finally, we diversified our content production by launching new podcasts addressing topics such as green transition and international cooperation.
Thus, the year 2024 stood out for the expanded activities of CEBRI, solidifying its position as a strategic player in international relations. Looking ahead to 2025, we continue to build a solid agenda, guided by our commitment to think, dialogue, disseminate, and influence pathways for the future.
