Forte de Copacabana Conference Will Address International Security Strategies in the New Global Order

International security strategies in the new geopolitical order will be on the agenda of the XVIII International Security Conference of the Forte de Copacabana, which will take place on September 16th and 17th. The event is the largest international security conference in Latin America. The topic chosen for the XVIII edition of the Forte raises an important question: "Does the absence of war mean peace?". The debates will revolve around three central issues: global risk management and the role of the armed forces; multilateralism and the role of transnational security alliances; and cyber responses to crisis situations. Since 2004, CEBRI has been proud to promote this important international forum in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) and the European Union Delegation in Brazil (EUDEL). The conference has a tradition of high-ranking participations, including of senior government officials, politicians, academics, business owners, civil society representatives and members of the armed forces of South American and European countries. Due to the pandemic, the 2021 edition of the Forte will have guests participate virtually, and will feature an innovative format that will allow for intense interaction and public participation. Save the date: from the 15th to 17th of September!
