For Arthur Kroeber, there will be more tension, but at the end of the day, the voice of business will speak louder.

Arthur Kroeber is one of the key US analysts on China and the founder of Hong Kong and Beijing-based consultancy Gavekal Dragonomics. In a phone interview with the news outlet Folha de S. Paulo on Friday, the 26th of April, he argued that the West does not have many instruments to change Xi Jinping's country, and the conflict between Beijing and Washington will tend to grow. However, he also stated that at the end of the day, economic interests will speak loudest. He also told Folha that he believed China's post-pandemic recovery was "very solid".
