The event marks the release of the book "Brazilian Commentary on the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development", organized by André de Paiva Toledo and Lucas Carlos Lima. The purpose of the book is not only to contribute to the Brazilian debate on international environmental law, but also to increase awareness of key concepts that can help our country promote respect for the Declaration and create new mechanisms for its effective implementation.
 
Featuring authors from different continents, representing the cultural diversity of humanity, the book aims to provide a Brazilian voice to thoughts produced in various countries from different linguistic perspectives.
 
According to André de Paiva Toledo and Lucas Carlos Lima, the ultimate goal is to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Declaration, an instrument that remains at the forefront of transforming reality but is also a symbol of resistance to a new world where happiness is enduring.
