On August 8, Ambassador Andrés Rozental was at CEBRI to deliver the lecture "The United States-Latin America relations". On the occasion, the American presence in Mexico, the challenges of the country's relationship with the US, facing a transition to a left-wing government, and its permanence in NAFTA, in addition to the American influence in Latin America, were discussed.

The event was held in partnership with the Mexican Consulate in Rio de Janeiro and was also attended by José Pio Borges (CEBRI) and Ambassador José Botafogo Gonçalves (CEBRI).
