  • 02 october 2025

Every year, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) convenes consecutive addresses by the 193 world leaders. The 2025 Edition focused on key issues, including climate change, artificial intelligence, nuclear deterrence, and the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine.

To shed light on the speeches delivered by Presidents Luís Inácio “Lula” da Silva, Donald Trump, and Xi Jinping, CEBRI’s Geopolitics Program mapped the main points addressed, aiming to outline convergences and divergences between Brazil’s stance and that of its two principal trading partners: the United States and China. Methodologically, the study identified the strategic emphases present in each leader’s address, including political, economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
