In-person course

Knowing China II

30 november 2018

Today, China occupies a leading position in the global geopolitical scenario. In forty years, the country has lifted 750 million people out of poverty. In the 1970s, it was a rural economy. It took a leap from the industrial to the innovation economy, and, currently, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things have a direct impact on the lives of the Chinese population.

Brazil is among a select group of countries that have a trade surplus with China, with yearly revenues of USD 64 billion.

The course Knowing China, organized by CEBRI and the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil (Amcham-Brasil), deepens the discussions on Brazil-China relations, the unfolding of the trade war with the United States, and the Asian power’s investments in technology, infrastructure and innovation. These aspects are analyzed from different perspectives - political, cultural and economic - by consultants, academics and market professionals.

Program:

  • Political and Cultural aspects of China
  • China’s perspective on trade war
  • China in figures
  • Who is and what moves the Chinese investor?
  • Brazil-China relations
DURATION:
