The Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI), in partnership with the Center for Global Trade Studies and Investment of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (CCGI-FGV), organized a roundtable about “Challenges of Foreign Trade” with the Executive Secretary of the Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX), Minister Tatiana Rosito. The initiative was held at FGV-SP on November 7 and is part of the work of the CEBRI Thematic Program on International Economic Insertion, which has the important support of the Latin American Development Bank (CAF).
The event was chaired by Rafael Benke, Chairman of CEBRI’s Board of Trustees, and FGV Professor Vera Thorstensen, holder of the WTO Chair in Brazil. Among the participants were CAF’s Director in Brazil, Victor Rico; Professor Celso Lafer, member of the Board of Trustees of CEBRI; and Mario Marconini, Senior Fellow of the Program on International Economic Insertion. The meeting aimed to provide a space for dialogue between representatives of the private sector and specialists in international trade with CAMEX. The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Trustees and the Advisory Board and a select group of guests who discussed topics on the foreign trade agenda, among them the new structure of CAMEX- whose council is now chaired by the President of the Republic- and the new fronts of CAMEX’s activities and its role as facilitator of strategic priorities in terms of the international commercial insertion of Brazil.
